The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture wishes to thank those who participated in the consultation process on the Next Policy Framework. The consultation period extended from September 7, 2021 until September 24, 2021. Feedback from the engagement process was used to inform the What We Heard document.
Federal, Provincial and Territorial (FPT) discussions on the Next Policy Framework (NPF) are in progress. The NPF sets overarching principles and priorities that support growth, sustainability and innovation in the agriculture and agri-food sector. This engagement process sought stakeholder input on the priorities and policy direction for the successor to the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
The results of this engagement process will inform Government for the NPF. The NPF will establish a vision and outline priorities and objectives to support growth of the agriculture and agri-food sector.

Information received was reviewed by the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture.
All data gathered from the NPF consultation was summarized to outline what we heard from stakeholders. This information will be presented during FPT discussions regarding priorities and policy directions for the NPF.
