Purpose
The Health Research Ethics Authority Act (the Act) provides the Health Research Ethics Authority (HREA) with the authority to ensure that health research involving human subjects in Newfoundland and Labrador is conducted in an ethical manner. The Department of Health and Community Services is committed to finding ways to improve the Act to better support the HREA and Health Research Ethics Board (HREB) in achieving their mandates.
As a member of the research community, we welcome your perspective on how to enhance the Act.
Members of the research community are invited to share their opinions on how the Department of Health and Community Services can improve the Health Research Ethics Authority Act to better meet the needs of researchers in the province by completing an online questionnaire.
