The world is moving toward increasing the use of renewable, clean energy as we work collectively to mitigate climate change. Newfoundland and Labrador has an abundance of developed and undeveloped renewable energy resources, as well as experience and expertise in our technology and energy sectors. As a province, we are positioned to advance our status as a Clean Energy Centre of Excellence, leading in this green transition.
In order to leverage the global opportunity, create employment opportunities for the people of our province, further position Newfoundland and Labrador as an energy supplier, and ensure that our Province’s clean energy resources are developed in a responsible, sustainable fashion, we need a plan guided by public, industry and stakeholder input.
Get Involved
The Department of Industry, Energy and Technology is seeking input from the public, industry and stakeholders, in order to develop a Renewable Energy Plan for the province through completing a questionnaire, and the option of providing a written submission. This feedback will ensure we develop a Renewable Energy Plan that is the right fit for our province. Please note there are two questionnaires linked below. One for members of the public, and one for representatives of industry and/or stakeholder groups.
Before completing a questionnaire, please take a moment to view the consultation presentation linked below.
