The Provincial Government prioritizes road projects based on safety, traffic volumes, socio-economic impacts, evidence and input from the general public and the Department of Transportation and Works' engineers.
The plan has identified 75 per cent of projects to be completed in 2019-20. The plan also has flexibility so additional projects to be added to next year and the following four years so that new issues can be addressed in a timely manner.
The Department of Transportation and Works has developed a questionnaire to seek public input on additional sections of provincial highways and bridges to be considered for the 2019 edition of the Five-Year Provincial Roads Plan.
The department welcomes input on issues such as road deterioration, roughness, rutting, and any other issues that affect your ability to comfortably use provincial roads and bridges.
The questionnaire will be available until November 16, 2018.
